His Majesty King Algernon Peregrine Humphrey Archibald Lysander Ferdinand Percival Hugh...oh, just call me Perry.
On one of the tables the candles were still burning. And on the edge of the table, swinging his legs and licking strawberry ice cream out of a silver ladle, sat a young man who could only be on of the senior pages.
He was a nice-looking young man in a wine-colored velvet doublet and with rather tousled hair. The Ordinary Princess stopped just inside the door.
“Hello,” said the nice young man.
“Hello,” said the Ordinary Princess.
They looked at each other in the candlelight, and the nice young man smiled.
It was a nice smile that made his eyes crinkle up at the corners, and the Ordinary Princess smiled back.
There is (as there usually is) more to Perry than meets the eye. At first glance, he is cheerful, pleasant-looking, dressed in a somewhat roughed-up velvet doublet, and inordinately fond of ice cream.
At second glance (or third, or fourth, or what have you), he is still cheerful, pleasant-looking, dressed in a somewhat roughed-up velvet doublet, and inordinately fond of ice cream, but he is also a king.
A king who spends his time during state meetings playing tic-tac-toe.
Well, what did you expect him to do?
Perry is from The Ordinary Princess, and is the property of the marvelous M.M. Kaye. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in , from which no profit whatsoever is being made.
